What we send, how choices are recorded and how to stop optional messages. This policy supplements the Terms; accepting the Terms alone does not consent to marketing texts.
1. Account messages and optional alerts
We send necessary account, billing, transaction, security and legal messages. Promotional messages and optional activity alerts have separate preferences. Messages are classified by actual content and purpose, not merely because the recipient has an account.
Closing an account stops ordinary account activity, but messages needed to complete a transaction, answer a request or meet a legal obligation may still be sent. Optional review, neighborhood, school, followed-business and other activity notifications are not automatically mandatory account messages.
2. Marketing email and unsubscribe choices
Marketing email includes an unsubscribe method that does not require a login or fee. Opt-outs are processed promptly and no later than the applicable legal deadline. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary transaction, security or legal notices. Use the notification and following preferences available in your account for optional activity alerts.
We use accurate sender details and subject lines and include required identification and contact information in commercial messages. Email providers report delivery, opens and clicks to support sending and engagement reporting; an open event is not proof that a person read a notice. Delivery and suppression records help manage failures and opt-outs.
3. Review and referral invitations
A business may ask Vissabl to send a review invitation identifying that business. Invitation contact information is used for delivery and related opt-out, security and compliance records, not enrollment in a marketing list. Businesses must provide details lawfully and invite genuine customers without selecting only those expected to give a favorable review.
Referral invitations are also available. A message's legal classification depends on its actual content and purpose; calling something an invitation does not automatically make it noncommercial. Applicable opt-outs and restrictions still apply.
4. Optional marketing texts
Vissabl's optional marketing text program is operated by vissabl LLC. A separate opt-in covers recurring marketing texts, including local deals and community updates, using automated technology where disclosed. Signup and household forms present email and text choices separately and initially unchecked. Consent is not a condition of purchase, account access or household registration.
The frequency and scope disclosed next to your opt-in apply to that choice. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to withdraw text consent or HELP for assistance, or contact support. Other reasonable revocation methods are honored as required by law. A permitted nonpromotional opt-out confirmation may be sent. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Withdrawing text consent does not close your account. A later request for a verification code is a separate security request; it does not restore marketing consent. Any resubscription must have the appropriate disclosures and consent basis. Email and push have separate controls, and a broader revocation request is assessed for its applicable scope.
5. Verification and push notifications
Email and mobile verification features send codes as part of the verification you request. Do not share codes or passwords with anyone claiming to be support.
Push notifications require your browser's permission. The Service stores a push subscription endpoint, delivery keys, platform and browser information to send notifications you enable. Turn off push in the app's notification controls or browser/device settings. Preview text can be visible on a lock screen. Push permission is not consent to email or text marketing.
6. Consent and delivery records
The Service records policy acceptance and communication choices with document/consent versions, timestamps and identifying context. Depending on the flow, records include account or contact information, source page, consent wording, browser/device details and an IP address or hash. An optional marketing choice is distinct from Terms acceptance.
An opt-out or revoked permission does not erase every prior consent, delivery, suppression or compliance record. Those records may remain for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. The forthcoming Terms are not the version accepted merely by signing up during the transition.
7. Use of contact information
Do not harvest directory or neighborhood contact information for unsolicited marketing. Use shared household and member details only for the purpose for which they were provided and with any required consent. Mobile numbers and text opt-in/consent records are not provided to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing; service providers may process them to support the messaging program.
Neighborhood sponsor sharing: the optional sign-up box for your neighborhood's texts and emails also shares your name, home address, email and mobile number with that neighborhood's sponsor, an independent local business, so it can contact you about its own offers. You can turn sharing off in My profile at any time. Messages the sponsor sends come from the sponsor, not Vissabl; reply STOP or unsubscribe with the sponsor to stop them. Sponsors see these details in their Vissabl dashboard without an export option, must honor those requests, and may not copy, sell or share them.
